Festival Entry Rules

  • DVD is required, the format must be NTSC (Region 1 or Region 0).
  • You must be a registered student in order for you to submit your film/video and you must send a copy of your Student ID card or proof of registration. No Exceptions.
  • If you recently graduated (namely you graduated 2 years or less prior to screening) you must have been a student when the film was begun.
  • Students who began their project in school and have graduated but not completed their project have 18 months to complete their films. Proof of registration or student ID required.
  • Entry fee nonrefundable. For College, Univ or Private Filmschools. $45.00 USD. Entry fee for Elementary, Junior High and High School $35.00. We accept Pay Pal, International Money Orders, and personal checks (USA only) make your checks payable to the ISFFH.
  • DVD’s will not be returned.
  • Films/videos that have received domestic U.S. network television (including cable) or theatrical release prior to Festival are not eligible
  • DVD is required, the format must be NTSC (Region 1 or Region 0).
  • DVD’s must be labeled with the title, running-time, screening format, Director’s name and email.
  • ISFFH is permitted to retain DVD copies of each film selected as part of our festival library and to use in any media they choose, worldwide and without limitation use for promotion, fundraising, or publicity.
  • DVD’s must be received by TBA
  • More than one entry can be submitted. Each entry has to have an Official Entry Form (photocopy accepted) and entry fee.
  • The entrant will be responsible for ALL SHIPPING FEES.
  • All filmmakers will be notified via email of acceptance.
  • If your film is selected, you may be asked to provide: B&W and color stills from the film; press materials; video trailer and digitized trailer for website (if available) posters and flyers.
  • The student filmmaker will assume shipping costs of materials and print to ISFFH.
  • Titles produced in languages other than English must have legible English subtitles.
  • The selection committees’ and juries’ decisions are final.
  • If selected, the student filmmaker gives ISFFH permission to audio-describe film for the sight-impaired.
  • Title of work and name of entrant must be on all mailing labels.
  • Import declaration statements: all non-US entries must be sent via air mail registered with the declaration:

For DVD’s: “Free entry claimed under #724.12 (960.55) U.S. Tariff Act.” Entrants must assume all responsibility for clearing films and DVD’s through U.S. foreign customs officials. 

* ISFFH Reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or Festival scheduling.

*Print out and complete the entry form and enclose it with a labeled DVD copy of the film, press kit (optional) and the applicable entry fee.
