the International Student Film Festival of Hollywood
on Making Student Filmmakers’ Dreams Come True.

Wednesday, October 25, 2006 Echelon Studios has made a deal with Festival President Robin Saban to offer distribution contracts to the winners. The International Student Film Festival, Hollywood offers student filmmakers from all over the world a unique opportunity to gain the recognition of film industry leaders, creating career development opportunities in their home countries as well as in the United States. The Festival provides a distinct setting for independent films created by students from various countries. It is unique in that it brings filmmakers the opportunity to present their films at the nexus of the film community, Hollywood. The main goal of the festival is to introduce the world to new avenues of artistic direction, the likes of which may have never been seen, were it not for the festival’s involvement. They want to be the liaison that brings together the different types of creative talent from every corner of the earth.

President of the Festival, Robin Saban is excited for this new development. “Finally our hard work has paid off. This was one of our missions to accomplish for the next generation of filmmakers. We are pleased to announce that our agreement with Echelon Studios will make a significant impact on our festival and is a great opportunity for student filmmakers. Echelon Studios will offer distribution contracts to our winners, which gives the contestants a greater incentive. We will work very closely with Echelon Studios to create more successful stories and discover new story tellers.  I would like to extend my gratitude to Gloria Morison, Eric Louzil and everyone at Echelon Studios.”

Echelon Studios has been making a name for itself in the area of domestic and international film sales. As a production, domestic distribution and foreign sales company, Echelon Studios handles multiple facets of the entertainment industry. Echelon Studio’s library contains more than 300 first run titles, in a wide variety of genre including comedy, drama, horror, documentary, psychological thriller, family, and animation. Getting involved with the ISFFH is an opportunity to assist young filmmakers in seeing their projects succeed was an important factor in Echelon’s participation with the festival. “One of the positive aspects of filmmaking is discovering new talent – the process of story telling in all levels, writing, directing, acting, and cinematography is very wonderful and fulfilling,” says Gloria Morrison, Vice-President and Co-CEO of Echelon Studios.
