International Student Film Festival Hollywood Summer Kick-off!

North Hollywood, CA - Come and join us for an evening of fun as we raise funds for the International Student Film Festival Hollywood (ISFFH)! The event takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 5pm to 8pm. The event venue has been graciously donated by A.C.T. Studios located at 10815 Burbank Blvd in North Hollywood.

The evening will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and an art marketplace. The highlight of the evening will be a screening of some amazing student films!

Along with the ISFFH 2008 Montage, we will be screening “The Legend of Razorback” directed by Michael Greenspan; A story of eleven-year-old Avery who dreams of re-connecting with his parents, but first must conquer a local town legend that might be the key to unlocking his silence and pain. The second film will be “The Door” directed by Vladimir Kott; a Russian film without dialogue, sometimes even the heaviest burden can be easier than the wind. And it is necessary to have hope when you knock on the door.

We are also excited to announce that filmmaker Michael Greenspan will be a keynote speaker at this June 27th Fundraiser, along with our own Robin Saban, Founder/President of ISFFH.

To date, the silent auction includes items donated by NoHoArts District.com, Bellacures, Rising Lotus Yoga, Eugene Photography and Video, LA411.com, Todd Nelson, Sara Shai, Richard Berger, Flo Selfman, Pomm Fine Art, Museum of Tolerance, Mishima Foods, Stuart Townsley Photography, Palermo Ristorante Italiano, San Diego Zoo and Wisteria Lane Hair Design.

The ISFFH is the only film festival that embraces filmmakers of all ages from around the world, offering students the unique opportunity to gain the recognition of film industry leaders, creating career development opportunities in their home countries as well as the United States.

Student filmmakers actively participate in discussions facilitated by industry professionals, further building their enthusiasm, self-confidence, and public speaking skills. At the same time, it is an opportunity to entertain, enlighten, educate, and engage the audience.

The ISFFH is now accepting submissions for its 7th annual Film and Video Competition. Submission guidelines and entry forms are available on the Festival website at www.isffhollywood.org. The Festival takes place November 6 - 8, 2009 in North Hollywood.
