Synopsis
Late at night at a gas station people
from all walks of life intersect.
A murder is witnessed from three different
points of view.
All observers are convinced of what they
saw yet they are left with completely different
judgments. Who saw the truth? What is truth?
"Fueling the Fire" takes the audience
on a journey into the complex nature of
human perception.
Biography of Director
Tanja was born in Austria. After graduating
from the advertising college WIFI in Vienna,
she worked for six years in Austria's largest
advertising agency LOWE/GGK. Since 1995
she wrote, directed and produced several
TV-commercials, winning the award for best
TV Spot 1998 at the Top Spot Festival in
Austria. In 1998 she moved to Los Angeles
and studied film and TV directing at UCLA.
At that time, she worked for German director
Wim Wenders on his feature film "The
Million Dollar Hotel". In 2002, Tanja
graduated from the directing program at
the American Film Institute. She was awarded
with the prestigious Mary Pickford Scholarship
for outstanding achievements and the AFI
Richard P. Rogers Spirit of Excellence Award
for outstanding Direction. Tanja won the
2002 Directors Guild of America (DGA) Student
Film Award for her thesis film "Fueling
the Fire".
