Jody Jaress, actor/writer/acting coach

Jody's career of more than 30 years, has garnered numerous awards for her acting dynamics in Theatre, Film and Television. She has worked alongside of many Academy Award winning actors and directors: Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Ernest Borgnine, Adrien Brody, Olivia Hussey, Mike Nichols, Michael Nesmith, Tobe Hooper, Ulli Lommel, and Bill Dear, in studio films such as: Charlie Wilson's War, Hollywoodland, Chinaman's Chance, Savannah's Ghost, and numerous award winning independent films. Recent television credits include a never ending run of national commercials, recurring role on daytime soap opera Days Of Our Lives, and cartoon voices for anime and manga series. Some theatrical productions have awarded her Best Actress for her roles in Veronica's Room, Equus, and The Gingerbread Lady. Sir Basil Rathbone honored her by requesting a command performance of her rendition of Kate in Taming of the Shrew. Jody also has been awarded the USO pin for her dedication and years of entertaining our armed forces as a singer and dancer. Jody offers her talents and support to several organizations, one of which is the International Student Film Festival Hollywood, where she holds a position as an Officer and board member. Her diversified professional experience and the contacts available to her are invaluable to assisting with the development and promotion of ISFFH, and the aspiring young filmmakers.
